MicroRadarNet (MRN) is a low-cost short-range X-band micro radar network for meteorological purposes. MRN is specifically designed to operate within orographically complex area to effectively enhance rain estimations coming from long-range radars. Each micro radar unit can be remotely operated; it implements on-board logic for remote data processing and wireless transmission towards the network servers. MRN users can access the network data through a web-based interface.

FIRECAST® is the Fire Danger Index Forecasting System for alpine regions and it represents a complex evolution of the Canadian Fire Weather Index (FWI). FIRECAST® evaluates the fire danger risk depending on: weather conditions, their past evolution and their interaction with specific environmental properties of soil and vegetation. FIRECAST® provides foreseen fire danger risk index maps, with forecasting time up to 72 hours.
